Beat the Odds | Stand for Children, Portland, Or

I spent the afternoon photographing an amazing event which raised money to help kids get the excellent public education and strong support they need to thrive.

During the event, three high school students were awarded scholarships for college. Their stories were incredible. They went through things that no one should have to endure, let alone children. But they came out on top, they fought and persevered and they are an inspiration to others.

JDRF Walk for the Cure | Portland, OR

This is my second fundraiser for Junior Diabetes Research Foundation that I have been asked to photograph. I love doing events like this. The Walk draws people together in a healthy activity for a worthy cause, raising money to help find a cure for diabetes.

Rio Con Brio | Band Shoot, Adelsheim Vineyard

Tim Connell is an incredible mandolin player and I had the pleasure of photographing him with a different band earlier this year. When he called me up to do another photo shoot, I was more than willing. Rio Con Brio also includes Mike Burdette who plays the guitar beautifully. Put the two together and you have an amazing duo.

We end up doing their shoot at Adelsheim Vineyard, a winery out in Newberg. I totally recommend this winery--they have some of the best wines I have tasted. Trust me...Tim, Mike and I had quite a few tastes ourselves!

I have always put my heart and soul in my photography and not so much in advertising. I hope my work will just speak for itself. We live in a world were we can reach a lot of people fairly easily and inexpensively. Most of my work comes from word-of-mouth and being apart of the Wedding Photojournalist Association. Happy New Year | 08' Year in Review

2008 was a GREAT year. I had the pleasure of photographing amazing weddings and meeting really great couples. Thank you for letting me photograph one of your biggest life events. It was such an honor and a pleasure.

This year will definitely go down in history. I had the opportunity to photograph our President-elect, Barack Obama and the Secretary of State, Hillary Clinton. Two amazing people.

Photographing the Gorge Games was an awesome, extreme adventure. Traveling all through Italy felt like a dream and getting married (where I was the second photographer) was one of the happiest days of my life. It also gave me a huge insight on how to strengthen my wedding photography.

I am excited for the coming year, meeting a lot more people and photographing some extraordinary events.

Jeff Beauchamp is a award winning artist--who happens to be my cousin in-law. He is putting on an art show to raise money for Barack Obama's Presidential Campaign. Not only was I excited about the art show and the cause but one of my photos that I took while in Spain inspired Jeff to make a painting of it and it will be shown at the art show.

I have just been accepted to be apart of the Wedding Photojournalist Association. This is a incredible accomplishment for me. FIDDLEHEAD LANDSCAPES

I did a big photo project for Fiddlehead Landscapes. They are an environmentally friendly company that builds rock walls and patios. But these aren't just any rock structures, they build them with every rock hand picked and put it together very artistically and strategically. They look absolutely beautiful.
