Mike and Gina are tying the knot in just a couple of months so it was nice to get out and do their engagement photos. They are super cute with one another and Gina was constantly smiling. In one photo she has this "look" that is priceless. During their shoot we had an unexpected guest come up to us and really wanted in on the action--you'll have to check out the post to see :)

I'll see you two in March--can't wait!

The "Look"

Sarah and Jesse were really fun to photograph and they didn't let the rain get to them! For a few shots we went up to the top deck of Sarah's sisters apartment building. There was a pool up there but no one was game for swimming shots ;-)

Their wedding is less than two months away and I am really looking forward to it--my first of 2010!

Jen is my brother-in-law's wife's sister (whew!) I think that makes her my half sister in-law?
I love talking with her; she is totally down to earth and has a great sense of humor. She's also a nurse which we think is pretty cool.
Brent makes a great addition to the family. And he is totally in love with Jen--just follow their facebook statuses... :-)

Since their engagement shoot was during the holidays, they wanted some night shots where we could really the Christmas lights to our advantage. It had just rained before we went out and that made for a cool scene. Brent and Jen were troopers as I dragged them all over for over two hours. They were smiling and laughing the entire time. Can't wait for their wedding next August!

Elysha and Buddy are so fun to photograph. They are total naturals and I don't think Elysha could ever take a bad photo--she's stunning. We spent the afternoon in Cathedral Park where your backdrop is the St. John's bridge.

Kelsey + Derek (and Denali) | Engagement, Waterfront, Portland Or

Engagement sessions are so fun because they are a great way to get to know the couple and for them to get used to the camera. That way, they're more comfortable with it on their wedding day. Well, Kelsey and Derek were loving the camera from the start and so was their dog, Denali! It was a beautiful shoot and Kelsey kept joking how she felt like she was on America's Next Top Model.

I am really looking forward to their wedding next year and sharing some great laughs with them.
