It's always so much fun to take senior portraits--they're always so in to it. Half way through the shoot her dress zipper broke so we were all running around trying to find a safety pin. We did. Her parents and her sister were such a big help! Especially her dad, stopping traffic and holding my light.

Julie and Jesse got married at McMenamins Edgefield. It was such an awesome celebration. His "boyz" were hilarious--giving him paper bags for Jesse to breath in, pretending to have lost the ring during the ceremony and the touching slideshow during the reception.

When I was running back from room to room while they were getting ready all they wanted to know was how the other one was doing. You guys are true rocks for each other and I wish you the best! What an amazing night!

Huong + Trevor, Engagement | Portland, Ore.

It was typical Portland weather (rain, sun, hail, rain and back to sun) when Huong, Trevor and I set out for their engagement shoot but that didn't stop us from having a great time! They introduced me to this awesome park, Peninsula Park in North Portland. It made for a great backdrop. We did everything from spinning on merry-go-rounds to laying in puddles! Thanks for the good times!

A little note...

The greatest feeling about being a wedding photographer is knowing how you captured their day in such a way that they can now cherish forever. It's so great to get letters or emails from couples that I have photographed or to go over their houses and see their wedding photos hanging on their walls. It's an amazing feeling that I never take for granted.

These photos are from my wedding and even though I was there and in them...I cry everytime! We love each other so much and every photo captures a different moment, a different feeling and a different memory that we will cherish for the rest of our lives. Ben and Alice are an amazing couple--super passionate, adventurous and sweet. We had a blast during their engagement shoot. I think I might have scared them a little when I was climbing up trees and lying on on railroad tracks to get the shots. It was fun!

There are those weddings where it seems like the only two people there are the couple. Which is the way it should always be but with this wedding, you really felt it. It was as if they didn't realize there was anyone else in the room.

I had so much fun photographing them. Lindsay (my wife) came along with me to be the second shooter. She is absolutely amazing. I wish she would shoot more weddings with me. The first photograph was taken by her. I am always impressed with her angles and attention to detail.
